When you look for the right job, one of the things to consider is schedule. If you love waking up with the sun and have no issues early in the morning, here are a few career choices that might be best for you.

Mail Carrier
Making deliveries and sorting through mail starts very early. You have to get the mail organized before you head out on your route. Some post offices have jobs for either mail sorting or carrying, but some will have you do both. These early shifts tend to end in the early afternoon, so if you don’t mind waking up early, the rest of your day will be free. Check out your local post office for a job application.

Emergency Dispatch
One of the most important jobs for a community is emergency dispatcher. When you dial 911, you want the person on the other end of the line to be efficient, understanding, and calm, no matter the situation. If you think you can handle and thrive with the stress, this would be a great job for you. You’ll be helping the community when they need it the most. Early risers can request the shifts that others might not want. Start early, end early, and be a positive force in your area.

Barista
Coffee shops and cafes are becoming more popular. You’ll see them popping up everywhere, which means more job opportunities for the right person. Typically, these establishments will open early, which means prep happens even earlier. Most will close in the early afternoon, so if a 6am – 2 or 3pm schedule sounds good to you, and you love coffee and baked goods, find a local café and apply.
