As you spend more time outside, you might think it’s time to spruce up your home. Whether it’s to create curb appeal, or change things up, here are a few inexpensive ideas for your yard.

Add Some Lights
One way to make your yard look great is to add lighting. You can buy string lights to hang around, or purchase lights to stick in the ground along a path or garden. If you don’t have an outlet close to where you want to put the lights, there are a lot of battery or solar powered options. Change the colors of the lights depending on the occasion, and impress friends and neighbors.

Furniture
Creating an area where you and guests can sit and enjoy the scenery doesn’t have to be expensive. There are plenty of places where you can find cheap, yet attractive, chairs, tables, or benches to add in your yard. Thrift stores have options that may be perfect for the atmosphere you’re trying to create. And if you don’t have much of a budget, ask around to see if any friends or family are getting rid of perfectly good furniture.

Line Pathways or Gardens
Outlines make everything pop. If you have a path towards your doors, or a garden bed in your yard, line them with materials. You don’t even have to buy anything, just look around your yard. Rocks are a great natural resource for creating lines and barriers. If you have wood planks lying around, or small trees you don’t mind cutting down, you can use those as well. If you don’t have anything you can use, there are plenty of solutions that won’t empty your wallet. Adding lines to your yard will make things look organized and clean, even if they’re not.

Cut, Trim, and Weed
The easiest thing you can do to make sure your outdoor space looks great is taking care of any extra growth or weeds. Having a well-kept yard makes all of the other upgrades easier to achieve. If you know there are trouble spots, focus on those more. Have a schedule where you mow your lawn, and take care of your garden, or the side of your house. Staying on top of this will keep your yard looking great.
