Spring Clean Your Finances

You might be cleaning your home this spring, but you could also give your finances a spring cleaning. Here are three ways to freshen up your financial situation.

Get Back on Budget

You probably started the year with a budget in mind. You looked at all of your expenses, and your income, to determine a plan for the year. And then some unforeseen problems occurred. You may have had an expense pop up. Or maybe you felt really good about your situation that you stopped keeping track of your finances like you were in the beginning. Start looking at your budget again, and if you need to, change it up!

Lose the Bad Habits

Now that you’ve looked at that budget you can start to cut out some negative spending habits. Bad habits are more than just a drain on your health and time, they can also put a serious strain on your budget. Smoking, for example, is a very costly habit, physically and financially. Even if you were to try and cut back a little, you would save. Another would be eating out all the time. Cooking at home will save you money, and gas. Cutting back, or removing these habits will have a positive effect on your finances.

Clear Some Debt

The interest you pay on debt each month can really affect your overall financial picture. Credit card debt is usually the biggest culprit, where interest rates usually higher. A consolidation loan with SeaComm allows you to combine your outstanding balances into one convenient monthly payment. This creates a more reasonable period to pay off your debt, without feeling overwhelmed.

With SeaComm’s loan pre-approval program, LoanEngine™, you might already be pre-approved for a consolidation loan! If you qualify for a pre-approved offer, you’ll be presented with it through our SeaComm Mobile app or NetTeller in the “My Offers” tab, via email, and/or a letter through the mail. Click here to login to your NetTeller™ to view your current offers. If you don’t have any offers at this time, be sure to check back every 60 days.
