
November 26 is Small Business Saturday. Whether a business has been around for a long time or is just starting out, supporting them is a great way help your community. Here are a few ways you can do your part on Small Business Saturday.

Find Your Local Businesses
Check out all of the different small businesses in your area. If you’re not familiar with them, click here. You’ll be able to locate all the small businesses around you and make a list of where you’d like to go. Take a trip through your town and go into the shops. Interact with the owners and staff. Nothing beats friendly, personal service.

Buy Gift Cards
You may not know exactly what your friends and family want for the holidays, but you might know where they love to shop! Many of the businesses in your area will have gift cards to purchase. They are a great stocking stuffer and an opportunity to spread the word about your favorite local businesses.

After You Shop Write a Review
Word of mouth isn’t the only way small businesses can grow. Online review sites like “Yelp!”, and posts on social media can really boost traffic for a local shop or restaurant. If you want to learn more about how to write a great review, click here!

Find Something Unique
Shopping local has many advantages. You’re putting money back into your community, helping friends and neighbors, and finding some special products you won’t find anywhere else. If you want to find something with a personal touch or unique look and design, shop local. If you want to try a dish that everyone talks about, eat local.
