Hand and dish soap containers. Instead of buying small soap bottles every few weeks, purchase one large container of soap. It is cheaper and more earth-friendly to invest in a larger amount, and keep refilling the same pump bottle.

Reusable straws. Plastic straws are becoming difficult to find, as restaurants commit to being more “earth-friendly.” If you use straws at home, purchase a few reusable ones.

 

Refillable K-Cups. Many people rely on throwaway K-Cups for their daily caffeine intake. Instead, purchase a refillable K-Cup that will allow you to enjoy ground coffee while being kind to the environment. If you choose the reusable option over disposable K-Cups, you can save nearly $300 per year!

Reusable water bottles. Not only do reusable water bottles reduce your use of plastic, they also save money if you stop buying bottled water.

Food storage containers. Embrace leftovers with reusable containers, which allow you to bring your lunch to work instead of opting for the drive-thru.
