Why spend hundreds of dollars at the spa, when you can create your own oasis at home? Continue reading to learn four ways you can pamper yourself, on a budget!
Aromatherapy relaxation. Enjoy a good soak in the tub with some homemade aromatherapy treatments. To make your own base for aromatherapy bath salts, simply combine one part sea salt, two parts baking soda, and one part Epsom salts. After you’ve mixed it, add a few drops at a time of your favorite essential oil scents!
Facial mask. Creating your own face mask is actually quite simple! First, mix some milk and honey together in a bowl. The combination should feel both creamy and sticky to the touch. Apply the mixture to your face, put some cucumber slices over your eyes, and relax for 20 minutes. When you’re finished, rinse with warm water, then with cold. Dry your face and apply your preferred moisturizing cream!
Manicures. Why pay $30+ for a nail job, when you can do it yourself? After you’ve taken off your old nail polish, file your nails into the shape you would like. Then, soak your hands in warm water for ten minutes, and apply your preferred cuticle oil. Massage and exfoliate your hands, rub on a bit of moisturizer, and apply your favorite polish!
Micro-needling. Similar to acupuncture, micro-needling contributes to a heightened stimulation in your body, which can treat fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and textural concerns. Simply purchase an at-home Derma Roller at your local department store, and roll on your face (along with your preferred serum.) Minimal effort at a fraction of the cost!
