Don’t let that school supply list scare you. Here are some simple ways you can save money this year, and every year!

Compare prices. For example, if you are shopping at Store #1 and see that a three-ring binder is $4…but you know that it can be purchased at Store #2 for only $1.50 – you should make a trip to Store #2! These savings really add up, and you’ll feel good knowing that you’ve been cost efficient.

Only buy what you need. Bring along the list of items you need, and stick to it. It may feel tempting to purchase all of the “extras,” but your purchases should only be what your budget can handle.

Follow stores on social media. Most big box stores will announce their school supply sales on social media, in advance. Be sure to stay on top of it so you can get the best deals!

Invest in quality. Instead of purchasing cheap, low-quality supplies like paper folders and stick pens, (which will most likely need to be replaced,) invest in high-quality supplies that will last the entire school year.
