If you’re looking to make some extra cash or get rid of clutter, a garage sale is the perfect solution! Continue reading to learn six great tips to help you have a successful garage sale this summer.

Clean out what you don’t need. Sort through your basement, attic, closets and cabinets. A good rule of thumb is: if you don’t use it or wear it regularly, it probably needs to go!

Sort and organize. You should treat your garage sale like you would a store. Neatly separate clothing, appliances, and other miscellaneous items. Make it easy for people to navigate around, and find what they are looking for!

Consider teaming up with your neighbors. Check with your friends and neighbors to see if they would be interested in holding a garage sale on the same weekend. You can refer customers back and forth, and boost each other’s business!
